About Me
Hi, I'm Abhilash. I work as a Market Surveillance Specialist in Compliance at... a very large bank.
Previously,
worked as treasury manager with ICICI Bank (Forex, Bonds... the usual Big Short stuff)
worked as a Senior Executive in Surveillance and Investigation with Multi-Commodity Exchange (think of it as Sherlock Holmes for financial markets)
worked as an Associate with Interactive Brokers.
and started my journey as a Research Intern at Abakkus Asset Manager. A hedge fund, if you will.
And before all that, I spent two years at the National Institute of Securities Markets getting a PGDM. Because apparently, I needed a degree to prove I like finance.
an International Bank, a National Bank, a National Exhchange, an International Brokerage firm, a Hedge Fund and the regulator.... not bad, huh?
I’ve been on the buy side, the sell side, and the “something about this doesn’t add up” side.
I’ve watched markets move, watched people move markets, and now I watch the people who thought they could move markets without anyone watching.
They call it career progression.
I prefer to call it coming full circle.
